JCC Early Childhood Center

The Worcester JCC Early Childhood Center provides a comprehensive classroom experience. Children are assigned to classrooms based on their age, and each classroom provides age appropriate environment and curriculum.

Our philosophy is based on and embraces the Reggio Emilia philosophy. This is a whole-child developmental approach that emphasizes the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of each child. Learning is a dynamic process during which children construct their own knowledge through play and active exploration of and with their environment. Our curriculum is developed through observing and understanding each child’s individual skills and interest level.

Infant Program: 3 months - 14 months
Toddler Program: 15 months - 2.9 months
Preschool Program: We accept children starting at 2.9 years old for preschool

We have had two children at the JCC and have been so happy with the care provided in both the Toddler and Preschool Programs over the past three years. Our eldest was initially reluctant, but she developed wonderful friendships and was very well prepared for Kindergarten academically and socially. The teachers create such a warm and engaging environment filled with art projects, dance parties, bubbles, and sensory play.
