About Dr. David Shepro

Dr. David S. Shepro is a board-certified specialist in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, and Hematology with extensive clinical, academic, and administrative experience in healthcare delivery.

He earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 1984 and a Bachelor of Arts from Boston University in 1980. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency at The Memorial Hospital / UMass Memorial, followed by a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at Boston City Hospital and Boston University School of Medicine. 

He served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at UMass Chan Medical School from 1990 to 2020 and held leadership positions at Commonwealth Hematology and Oncology and St. Vincent Hospital..

Outside of his professional practice, he is actively involved in community service, conducting public health lectures and outreach initiatives as a volunteer for the City of Worcester Department of Public Health. He holds an active Massachusetts medical license and maintains active board certifications through the American Board of Internal Medicine.
